Being The Best Christian We Can Be

Every thing we do must edify the name of Jesus and give glory to God. His name should be resting upon the crest of our lips at all times so that our testimony may best serve Him. The heart of the Christian should be kept pure so that the world may see God reflected in our actions.

Does this sound difficult? Well, it is. Spiritual perfection is something we can never achieve in this life. Our natural tendencies of greed, selfishness, and sin will always keep us from a perfect communion with God. This is something that should keep all Christians up late at night, worried that we are not doing enough to edify the name of Christ here on earth. Revelations 3:16 tells us that, "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth." Our God is a loving God, but He also demands our fealty to His Word...and God's Word demands testimony. When Jesus set Christians upon the Great Commission, He set us to spread the good news of our salvation, and that is not to be taken lightly.
